Prediction: Real Betis to win 2-1

Best Odds: 13/2

Bookmaker: Zetbet

Real Betis and Valencia will lock horns with each other in La Liga this week. The match between Los Verdiblancos and Los Ches will be held at Estadio Benito Villamarín and is scheduled to kick off at 8pm UK time on Friday.

Real Betis

Real Betis are a very ambitious club with a strong following who have played in major European competitions, such as the UEFA Champions League, and will take on Premier League club Chelsea in the final of the UEFA Conference League later this month.

Los Verdiblancos ended up as high as seventh in the La Liga table last season and are set to do better this time around. Manuel Pellegrini’s side are sixth in the standings at the moment with 59 points from 37 games and will finish in that position. This means that Betis will feature in the group stage of the UEFA Europa League next season.

Betis will head into the La Liga match against Valencia at Estadio Benito Villamarin on Friday on the back of a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Atletico Madrid. It came after a 2-2 draw with Rayo Vallecano on the road in La Liga, which followed a 1-1 draw with Osasuna in front of their fans.

Team News:

Real Betis are likely to line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation against Valencia. Adrian will be in goal. Aitor Ruibal, Natan, Nobel Mendy and Romain Perraud will be the four defenders. Johnny Cardoso and  Sergi Altimira will be the two holding midfielders. Pablo Fornals, Giovani Lo Celso and Abde Ezzalzouli will be the three attacking midfielders. Cedric Bakambu will lead the line for Betis.

Valencia

Valencia are one of the biggest clubs in Spain and were playing in the UEFA Champions League not so long ago, but things have been tough for them for a while now. Los Che ended up ninth in the La Liga table last season and could end up in the bottom half of the standings.

Carlos Corberan’s side are 12th in the La Liga table at the moment with 45 points from 37 matches. Los Ches are two points behind 10th-placed Real Mallorca and have to hope that they win their final La Liga game of the season and results elsewhere go in their favour.

Valencia will head into the La Liga match against Real Betis at Estadio Benito Villamarin this week on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Athletic Bilbao at the Mestalla. It came after a 1-0 loss to Alaves on the road in the league, which followed a 3-0 victory over Gatafe in front of their fans in La Liga.

Team News:

Valencia are likely to line up in a 4-4-2 formation against Real Betis. Giorgi Mamardashvili will be in goal for Los Che. Cristhian Mosquera, Cesar Tarrega, Mouctar Diakhaby and Jose Gaya will be the four defenders. Luis Rioja, Javier Guerra, Enzo Barrenechea and Diego Lopez will be the four midfielders. Umar Sadiq and Andre Almeida will be the two centre-forwards.

Key Factors to Consider

Real Betis have won 3 of their last 6 La Liga matches.
Real Betis have scored 56 goals in 38 La Liga matches.
Real Betis have conceded 49 goals in 37 La Liga matches.
Valencia have lost 2 and won 2 of their last La Liga games.
Valencia have won 11 of their 37 La Liga games this season.

Conclusion

Real Betis are having a better season than Valencia and are also at home for this particular La Liga game. It is very likely that the Andalucian club will pick up all three points from the game.
