TRENT ALEXANDER-ARNOLD spoke fluent Spanish as he was unveiled as a Real Madrid player.
The former Liverpool star left fans stunned as he addressed the media in Spanish, rather than immediately using a translator.

For his Real Madrid unveiling, Alexander-Arnold prepared a short speech.
Speaking in Spanish, the 26-year-old said: “Good afternoon. Thank you to (club president) Florentino Perez and the club for this opportunity.
“This doesn’t happen every day, it’s a dream come true.
“I’m very happy and proud to be here. I want to show Real Madrid fans how I play.
“I realise that I am signing for Real Madrid and that the demands are high but I am going to give my all for the team and Real Madrid fans.
“I want to show those fans how I play, I want to win many titles, I want to be a winner here and enjoy playing alongside the best players in the world. Hala Madrid.”
Alexander-Arnold’s minute-long speech prompted huge applause from the gathered crowd, who clearly admired the Englishman’s efforts to speak their language.
The two-time Premier League winner’s speech sparked plenty of reaction online.

One fan wrote: “Wait a minute.. Trent can speak Spanish?? He’s so ready.”
While a second posted: “No way he was learning Spanish while he was still a Liverpool player.”
A third joked: “Been planning this move for 18 months on his Spanish language app whilst in the changing room.”
And another added: “He was on Duolingo instead of practising defending .. fairs yo.”
Asked how long he had been learning Spanish later in his press conference, Alexander-Arnold claimed only a “few months”.
Alexander-Arnold announced on May 5 that he’d be leaving Liverpool on June 30 after letting his Anfield contract expire.
But Real Madrid confirmed his signature at the end of last month, after stumping up £10million to sign him early.
And Alexander Arnold had to quickly correct himself during the unveiling after implying he had been waiting a long time to join Real.
Asked about his arrival in Madrid, the homegrown Red said: “Very, very exciting for me. A day I’ve been waiting a long time for now.
“Very excited, very happy, very proud to be here. It’s a dream to be here but there’s still a lot of hard work to do and I’m excited to get started straight away. It’s an exciting time for me.”
The England star quickly backtracked on that statement, adding: “To clear that up, by waiting a long time I mean a couple of weeks. Not years.
“But I am very excited be here. Whether you support the club or not, you have to respect the trophies that the club win.
“No matter what, that has been always there for me. I have always admired players and clubs that win trophies.”
Real Madrid eventually agreed to pay a £10m fee in order to bring their new man in for the Club World Cup.
The full-back could make his debut for his new side as they take on Al-Hilal in Miami on June 18.
Alexander-Arnold will wear the No12 shirt at Real Madrid, previously worn by Marcelo and Eduardo Camavinga.
His usual No66 is not permitted in LaLiga, with first team players having to wear a number between one and 25.
The Real Madrid new boy will also have “Trent” on the back of his shirt, rather than “Alexander-Arnold”.
While he has changed his Instagram handle from @trentarnold66 to @trent.
