In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Barcelona have identified Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni as their main target for next summer. It is understood that the Catalan club are eyeing a move to bring the Italy international to the Nou Camp in 2026.

Bastoni’s Impressive Season In Serie A

The 26-year-old enjoyed a solid campaign at the Milan club recently as he was responsible for putting in a run of impressive displays at the heart of their backline. Bastoni was involved in 53 matches for Inter Milan last season, scoring one goal and securing six assists in multiple competitions.

The Italian defensive ace gave a good account of himself by making 46 tackles, 25 blocks and 22 interceptions in Serie A. He even distributed the ball well from inside his half after making 88.4% of his attempted passes in the Italian top tier (stats via fbref.com).

Bastoni’s current deal at San Siro will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for Barcelona to sign him on the cheap next year.
