Barcelona have roared back into La Liga action with the defending champions 2-0 up at half time at home to Getafe.
Despite the frustration of having to once again play at the Estadi Johan Cruyff, Hansi Flick’s side have responded positively, as they aim to chase down Real Madrid.
A midweek win in their UEFA Champions League opener away at Newcastle United meant team changes for Flick to try and maintain La Blaugrana’s unbeaten start to the league campaign.
Two of those changes paid off immediately for Flick as Dani Olmo and Ferran Torres linked up on 15 minutes.
Despite scoring twice at St. James’ Park, Flick opted to bench Marcus Rashford, with his replacement Torres popping up to bury Olmo’s cheeky back heel.

Torres is looking to force his way back into Flick’s starting XI after beginning the campaign as the central attacker due to Robert Lewandowski’s injury.
Two goals in four starts kept him in that slot, but Lewandowski’s return has forced a change, with the former Valencia man starting out wide against Getafe.
A key breakthrough goal in a vital game could be the perfect response to his benching at Newcastle in favour of Rashford.
The night got even better for Torres just before the break as Raphinha selflessly nudged a long ball forward into his path on the counter attack.
Torres still had plenty to do as he steadied himself to smash home from 20 yards and put Barcelona in cruise control.

If Barcelona remain on track in the second half, and avoid an unlikely Getafe comeback, Flick’s charges will move back up into second place in behind Los Blancos.
That makes it 13 points gained from five matches played so far with Real Madrid leading the away on 15 for Xabi Alonso after his perfect start in the Spanish capital.
