Arsenal planning move for Spanish midfielder

Arsenal are planning a move for Spanish midfielder Javi Guerra, who is also of interest to Real Madrid.

The 22-year-old began his playing career at Villareal, before making the move to Valencia in 2019, where he has since established himself as a key player in their side.

He has made 12 appearances so far this season, and provided two assists. And whilst he wants to continue to develop his career, he is beginning to feel Valencia, who are languishing in the relegation zone in La Liga, might not be the best place to do that.

That means that, although he is under contract until 2029, he is considering leaving the club next year.

Guerra has a release clause of ₤88 million in his contract, but Valencia’s financial situation means that they might be willing to listen to offers of just a quarter of the fee, as they look to cash-in on one of their biggest current assets.
