BARCELONA issued a shocking request to Robert Lewandowski during his debut season at the club, reports suggest.
Lewandowski, 37, joined Barca in 2022 after a £42.5million deal with Bayern Munich, where he spent eight glittering years.

However, the star striker moved to the Nou Camp during a difficult time for the Blaugrana who were dealing with immense financial issues.
Nevertheless, the Poland international helped the Catalan giants win LaLiga in his first year with 23 goals in 34 league matches.
But a sensational report has emerged from Lewandowski‘s biography ‘Lewandowski: the real one’, which was recently published and ghost written by author Sebastian Staszewski.
It claims Barcelona asked the centre-forward to STOP SCORING in the last two matches of the 2022-23 campaign.

The book alleges Lewandowski was called in a meeting with a number of board members, including president Joan Laporta.
And the ex-Borussia Dortmund star was asked not to score another goal until the end of the campaign.
The title had already been sealed and the club wanted to avoid paying Bayern a bonus worth £2.2million, which they would have to splash if Lewandowski scored 25 goals.
The book states: “[Barcelona asked Lewandowski]: ‘Robert, we want you to stop scoring goals in the last games’.

“The player looked at him in amazement.
“Although the championship title was already decided, as was the award for the best scorer, in more than a decade playing at the highest level, no one had asked him to stop scoring a goal in his entire career.”
Lewandowski finished the last two matches without scoring and still ended up being crowned top scorer.
