Ronald Araujo Is Back | 4-2-3-1 Barcelona Predicted Lineup Vs Borussia Dortmund
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Barcelona dropped another two points in the La Liga as they settled for a 2-2 draw against Real Betis. Their recent results are raising questions over their consistency and quality. However, they must remain calm and focused to yield better outcomes.

Hansi Flick’s side will next lock horns with Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League this week. It will be a tough game as they will face the German side in an away round. However, the Spanish side has done well against big sides this season and can produce an applaudable display yet again.

Defence

Hansi Flick has preferred Inaki Pena over experienced Wojciech Szczesny so far. The chances are slim that he will change his decision for this game. Jules Kounde should once again be ready to take up the right-back duties.

Though Ronald Araujo is in contention to mark his comeback, it is very unlikely that he will be in the starting XI. It means that Pau Cubarsi will pair up with Inigo Martinez to form the heart of the defence. Alex Balde remains an undisputed choice for the left-back role.

Midfield

While Marc Casado has excelled in the holding midfield role, he has played relentlessly in recent weeks. Hence, Frenkie de Jong could be starting this time as his experience and game-controlling abilities will be useful. The Dutchman will support Pedri in the middle of the park.

Attack

Lamine Yamal was outrageous with his trickery and creativity in the previous game. He can be a difference-maker for Barcelona from the right wing. Dani Olmo and Raphinha continue to be deployed at their usual positions.

Robert Lewandowski is in great form and will be desperate to find the back of the net yet again.

Andreas Christensen, Marc Bernal, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, and Ansu Fati are out of the race to feature in this clash.
