Although it is still some months before the transfer window opens again, Chelsea are already making progress on their summer plans.
They have already announced they will be signing teenage Geovany Quenda from Sporting, although he will not be joining the club until 2026.
And now they have raided the Primeira Liga club for another of their young talents, after agreeing a deal to sign Portugal under-21 midfielder Dario Essugo.
The 20 year old is currently on loan in Spain with Las Palmas in La Liga, for whom he has made 17 appearances. The defensive midfielder has been one of the stars for a side that has been battling relegation this season, and was thought to be on the radar of both Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Manchester United were also reported to be interested in him as well, but Chelsea have trumped all of them to secure his signature.
