Sources claim Chelsea are set to be offered Arsenal transfer target in €40m+ package

Chelsea are reportedly set to be offered an exciting potential transfer deal involving Real Madrid star and Arsenal target Arda Guler.

The Blues are known for targeting the best young players in world football and Guler could fit the bill for them, though it remains to be seen if they’d accept this deal.

According to Fichajes, Real could offer Guler to Chelsea along with €40m for Enzo Fernandez, though the report suggests the west London giants absolutely do not want to sell the Argentina international.

Fernandez has occasionally divided opinion during his time at Stamford Bridge, but there’s no doubt that on his day he’s a world class midfielder.

It makes sense that Madrid would be keen on the 24-year-old, but it looks unlikely that this admittedly tempting offer is likely to go anywhere.

Arda Guler has been linked with both Chelsea and Arsenal

Guler could be a tempting signing for Chelsea, but one imagines the Blues would rather sign the Turkey international in a different kind of deal, instead of losing Fernandez as part of the overall package.

It will be interesting to see if this gives Arsenal an advantage in the race to sign Guler, who hasn’t played regularly during his time at the Bernabeu.

The Gunners have supposedly been scouting Guler in recent times, according to Football Insider, so they might make a move if it seems that Real are willing to discuss letting the 20-year-old go.

Guler is a technically gifted attacking midfielder who can play centrally or out wide, and it’s easy to imagine him having an impact at Chelsea or Arsenal.

Enzo Maresca will surely want to strengthen his attack this summer after some inconsistent performances from the likes of Jadon Sancho, Pedro Neto, Joao Felix and Noni Madueke, with Guler likely to be an upgrade.

Arsenal could also surely do well to land Guler as an alternative to Martin Odegaard in that midfield playmaker role, or as an alternative to allow Bukayo Saka more chances to rest.
