Ter Stegen And Balde To Start | 4-2-3-1 Barcelona Predicted Lineup Vs Real Madrid

Barcelona will entertain Real Madrid at the Nou Camp this Sunday afternoon as they look to win and take one step closer to the La Liga title. The Catalan club suffered a tough 4-3 loss away at Inter Milan in midweek, so they would be eager to return to winning ways this weekend.

Hansi Flick will stick with his favoured 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make a couple of tweaks for this game. Both Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Alejandro Balde could get an opportunity to impress from the start of this Clasico.

4-2-3-1 Barcelona Predicted Lineup To Face Real Madrid

Defence

Marc-Andre ter Stegen will function in between the sticks for the Catalan club after being rested in midweek. Pau Cubarsi will continue to operate alongside Inigo Martinez at the centre of Flick’s defence as they try to keep the opposition at bay during the 90 minutes.

Eric Garcia will fill in as the right-back while Alejandro Balde hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them would get the license to get forward and express themselves in the Real Madrid half.

Ronald Araujo will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Frenkie de Jong and Pedri will anchor the midfield for Barcelona as they focus on retaining possession well and creating some decent chances in the final third.

The talented trio of Raphinha, Dani Olmo and Lamine Yamal will play just ahead of them as part of Barca’s attack. Both Raphinha and Yamal would have to carry most of the goal-scoring workload for the home side this Sunday afternoon.

Gavi, Fermin Lopez and Ansu Fati will have to settle for a place on the bench as they wait for their chance to shine in the second 45 minutes if needed.

Attack

Robert Lewandowski will lead the charge for the Catalan giants up top. The Polish striker has to find a way to be a constant menace in and around the Real Madrid penalty box this weekend.

Pau Victor will make up the numbers on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the latter stages of the game if Barca are in need of a goal by then.
