Arsenal explore Rodrygo move – Soccer News
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

According to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany, Arsenal are exploring the possibility of signing Rodrygo from Real Madrid this summer. The Brazilian winger is one of the players that could be allowed to leave the Spanish giants should a suitable offer for his services arrive. The Gunners have initiated talks over a potential deal. Difficulties are expected – there’s a lot to discuss on the subject – but the Premier League runners-up are sounding out their options to try and make the transfer happen.

Liverpool, who comprehensively beat Arsenal in the title race, have been linked with Rodrygo as well, but since Mohamed Salah signed a new contract, their interest is believed to have subsided to an extent. The Egyptian’s stay at Anfield has certainly removed any urgency from their need to sign a wide attacker, and it remains to be seen if they’re willing to take concrete steps, as Real value the 24-year-old at €80million.

Liverpool potentially leaving that race would obviously open the door for Arsenal to swoop.
