Arsenal are planning another move for Spanish goalkeeper Joan García in the summer window.
They spent months in the 2024 summer transfer window trying to buy him from Espanyol, but were thwarted when the La Liga club refused to budge on his release clause. However, they have retained an interest in him, and met with his representatives when they visited Spain recently to play Girona in the Champions League.
García, meanwhile, has publicly stated that it would be better for both him and Espanyol if he were to leave the club at the end of the season.
The Girona match also saw Neto, who was signed on loan on deadline day from Bournemouth make his long awaited debut for the Gunners, and his subsequent performance gave little confidence to fans that he can be viewed as a reliable back-up to David Raya.
