Arsenal are interested in signing Oihan Sancet from Athletic Bilbao in the summer transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has revealed that Aston Villa and Manchester United are also keen on a summer deal for Sancet.
Sancet has been on the books of Athletic since 2015. After coming through the Basque club’s youth system, he has established himself in the first team and is widely considered one of the best attacking midfielders in La Liga. The 25-year-old has scored 15 goals and given one assist in 18 starts and nine substitute appearances in La Liga.
The 25-year-old made five starts and two substitute appearances in the UEFA Europa League for Athletic this season. Sancet scored two goals and gave two assists in those games. Athletic are fourth in the La Liga table at the moment with 67 points from 36 matches and have qualified for the UEFA Champions League next season.
