Barcelona Have Reignited Their Interest In The Manchester United Star: Why Barca Will Be The Best Destination For Him?

Matte Moretto has reported that FC Barcelona have reignited their interest in the out-of-favour Manchester United star Marcus Rashford. Deco is in contact with the representatives of the player for a possible move to Camp Nou in the ongoing winter transfer window. Rashford does not have any shortage of options, and hence he can pick and choose the best move available for him.

Marcus Rashford has had a torrid time at Manchester United off late

The situation surrounding the Englishman at Old Trafford has turned problematic in the last few months as he has been sidelined from the squad. So, it is quite certain that Rashford won’t be staying anymore at Manchester United. Now, it remains to be seen if he stays in England or moves to any of the other four top leagues.

West Ham United are one of the clubs in England that are interested in the England international. However, United need to pay a large proportion of his wages if he needs to move to the Hammers. West Ham are very fond of Rashford and see him as the one who can rejuvenate their attacking output.

He has already rejected a move to a low-tier club in the Serie A in the form of Como, despite their strong interest in the Manchester United star. Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan are also keen on signing him, which means that Rashford has a plethora of options to choose from for his next destination.

Barcelona have now entered the race and are seriously looking at him. They need a left winger, as they don’t have many options who can play as an out-and-out winger on the left side. Ansu Fati, despite his strong start to his Barcelona career, has struggled with injuries, and his performance levels have dropped down. The Catalans wanted Nico Williams in the summer, but he rejected a move to Barcelona.

Why Barcelona will be a good move for Rashford?

Barca can turn out to be the best destination for the Manchester United star, given the club’s history and legacy. They are looking to bring him on a loan move till the end of the season and then buy him permanently in the summer transfer window. However, it is not sure whether Barca can facilitate the wage of the English star given that they are already plagued by financial issues and are struggling to register their players.

Rashford will relish the challenge of playing in a club like Barca. However, given the hard task master Hansi Flick is, he will need to fight with the other players and elevate his performance to stake a claim on the left-wing position of the club.
