Barcelona player ratings vs Inter Milan- The 4th Official

Barcelona entertained Inter Milan at the Nou Camp earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result at home in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semifinal tie. The Catalan club made a horror start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the first minute when Marcus Thuram found the back of the net. Denzel Dumfries doubled Inter’s lead with an acrobatic finish in the 21st minute. However, Lamine Yamal got a goal back just three minutes later with a superb finish. Ferran Torres equalised for Barcelona in the 38th minute as Hansi Flick’s men went into the half-time break

Dumfries scored again for Inter with a good header in the 63rd minute. However, Barca equalised once again due to an unfortunate own goal by Yann Sommer just a couple of minutes later. The match ended with the Catalan club earning an entertaining 2-2 draw at the Nou Camp.

Let’s take a look at how each Barcelona player fared during the clash against Inter Milan.

GK: Wojciech Szczęsny – 5.5/10

Szczesny failed to make a save in the game and conceded three times tonight.

RB: Jules Kounde – 6/10

He did his fair share of defending and was accurate with his passing. Kounde picked up an injury and had to be replaced in the 41st minute.

CB: Pau Cubarsi – 6/10

Cubarsi earned the ball back once and made one good chance going forward.

CB: Inigo Martinez – 6/10

He put his foot through the ball when he could but failed to keep things solid at the back.

LB: Gerard Martin – 5.5/10

He was far from convincing when defending inside his half and was substituted at half-time.

CM: Frenkie de Jong – 7/10

De Jong anchored the midfield well and engineered a few inviting chances for his teammates to score.

CM: Pedri – 7/10

He made a couple of important interceptions and was a good presence on the ball.

RW: Lamine Yamal – 9/10

Yamal made a lot of dangerous runs with the ball and caused all sorts of chaos for the Inter defenders. He scored a great solo goal in the first half but was unfortunate to hit the post twice tonight.

CAM: Dani Olmo – 7/10

He caused a few problems for his marker but there was no goal for him.

LW: Raphinha – 7.5/10

Raphinha was not shy of having a strike at goal and secured an assist after his goal-bound shot hit the crossbar but the ball went in after deflecting off Sommer in the 65th minute.

ST: Ferran Torres – 7.5/10

He got himself into some promising positions in the final third and did well to score in the 38th minute.

Substitutes:

RB: Eric Garcia – 6.5/10

He was solid at the back.

CB: Ronald Araujo – 6/10

Araujo failed to impress in the second half.

CM: Fermin Lopez – 6.5/10

He added some creativity to Flick’s midfield.

CM: Gavi – N/A

CB: Andreas Christensen – N/A
