Barcelona star Lamine Yamal, 18, diagnosed with ‘incurable’ condition

LAMINE YAMAL is suffering from a chronic groin injury, according to reports.

The Barcelona superstar, 18, could be seen grimacing with pain during the recent 2-1 El Clasico defeat to Real Madrid.

Yamal has already missed five matches in all competitions so far this season due to groin issues.

And according to Spanish outlet Sport, the winger is suffering from Pubalgia.

The condition causes muscles to converge in the pubic area, prompting discomfort.

Barca chiefs are said to fear that the condition could be chronic – with no obvious cure.

Club icon Lionel Messi suffered with similar issues as a young player at Barcelona.

But the Argentine, now 38, was able to manage the condition without it hampering his performances.

In 2019, he revealed the toll it had taken on him.

What is Pubalgia?

A sports hernia (Pubalgia) is a painful, soft tissue injury that occurs in the groin area. It most often occurs during sports that require sudden changes of direction or intense twisting movements.
