Chelsea have officially enquired about the status of Como midfielder Nico Paz.
The Argentine attacking midfielder has been one of the breakout stars of Serie A this season, with eight goal involvements – four goals and four assists – to his name.
And the 21-year old’s form has attracted the attention of all the top clubs in Europe, although his situation is complicated by his continued links with Real Madrid.
A former graduate of their academy system, they inserted a 50% sell-on clause when they agreed to him joining Como. And they also have buy-back options worth ₤7.65 million in 2026 and ₤8.2 million in 2027. That means that they are in a strong position when it comes to any decisions about his future.
Nevertheless, that has not deterred interest from Chelsea, who believe that, if Paz continues on his current trajectory, his value will only skyrocket in the years to come.
