Chelsea are interested in signing Rodrygo from Real Madrid in the January transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report in the Spanish news outlet has claimed that the Blues are planning to make an offer of €80 million for the Brazil international winger.
Rodrygo has failed to establish himself in the Madrid starting line-up under manager Xabi Alonso. The 24-year-old has made only two starts in La Liga and just one start in the UEFA Champions League so far this season, with his Brazil international team-mate Vinicius Junior ahead of him in the pecking order on the left flank.
Chelsea are seventh in the Premier League table at the moment with 17 points from 10 matches, as many as eight points behind leaders and London rivals Arsenal. Meanwhile, Madrid currently find themselves at the top of the La Liga table with 30 points from 11 matches, five points clear of second-placed Barcelona.
