Chelsea want to sign Jules Koundé, the player who scored the winning goal for Barcelona against Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final in Sevilla at the weekend.
The 26 year-old was first linked with a move back in 2022 when he was a Sevilla player, but turned them down to join Barcelona instead. The French international can also be deployed as a full-back, although his preferred position is in the centre of defence.
Despite that, the Blues have maintained contact with Koundé’s representatives in the meantime, and, although he remains a key player for the Catalans, their continued financial position means they might be tempted by a suitable offer for a player who is valued at around ₤55 million.
There are also suggestions that Arsenal also have him on their list of summer transfer targets, although that is unlikely to happen unless they are unsuccessful in tying down Gabriel Magalhaes to a new deal.
