Getafe were left incensed by two red cards given to them during their 1-0 defeat to Real Madrid on Sunday. Allan Nyom was sent off moments after coming on to the pitch as a substitute, and minutes later, Alex Sancris was given his marching offers after being shown two yellow cards by referee Jose Luis Martinez Munuera.

Getafe have strong argued Nyom’s dismissal, which opened up the game for Real Madrid to score the one and only goal a few minutes later. Not much has been said about Alex’s red card, but the player himself has appeared to accept responsibility when speaking to El Chiringuito (via Marca).
“For me (Vincius’ fall) is exaggerated, but that’s it, it’s what it is. It’s his turn and that’s it. It’s football stuff, my mistake for touching him. For the next one I’ll learn.
“He didn’t provoke us, he plays his football and that’s it. We, on to our thing. We don’t have to get into anything. My mistake, I’ve already told you.”
Kiko Femenia defends Alex amid red card decision
On the other hand, Alex’s Getafe teammate Kiko Femenia, who also spoke to El Chiringuito, stated his belief that neither of the red cards were deserved. He also slammed Martinez Munuera’s decision to give him a yellow card, which led to him being substituted for Nyom.
“He gives me a yellow card and blows up my game because then the manager has to change me. Nyom’s can be yellow and it’s red. They were all on his side, so it’s very bad. Vini plays his game and it goes well. The referees call for his fouls, so he’s going to continue doing it. Nyom is screwed because it’s just a foul, you don’t need to ruin the game like that.”
