The financial issues at the La Liga giants across a number of years have been well-documented with several contracts having been needed to be negotiated.
Club chiefs have also needed to be more shrewd in the transfer market, as well as place a certain level of focus on promoting players from the La Masia academy.
Nevertheless, Barcelona have still continued to spend major fees on talent from across the world, payments sometimes being made in instalments.
When their financial results were released to The Members’ Assembly on Monday, the extent of their issues became apparent, and it is emphasised that they must be resolved to stay afloat.

Should any Barcelona squad members be worried?
With Barcelona under pressure to raise at least £121m of the £138m due by the summer, their ability to retain the services of some squad members naturally comes into question.
Marcus Rashford is excelling on loan from Manchester United, contributing five goals and four assists, but it remains to be seen whether it is realistic for him to stay at the club in the long term.
There are players in the squad such as Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Andreas Christensen and Ronald Araujo who are options to leave the club at the end of 2025-26.
However, despite taking all that into consideration, Barcelona would still have major work to do in order to avoid any punishment from the authorities.
