Latest transfer news, rumours: Monaco want Sunderland star
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Sports Mole brings you the latest transfer news and rumours, including Monaco identifying a Sunderland star as a potential target and Leicester City setting the asking price of Mads Hermansen.

Sunderland winger Romaine Mundle is allegedly attracting interest from Monaco.

The former Tottenham Hotspur youngster has proven to be a valuable asset at the Stadium of Light in his 18 months at the club.

Most notably, he chipped in with five goals and two assists as the Black Cats earned promotion to the Premier League during 2024-25.

However, according to Sky Sports News, that has led to Monaco identifying the 22-year-old as a potential summer transfer target.

Monaco, as well as PSV Eindhoven, are said to be monitoring the situation with Mundle having potentially dropped down the pecking order courtesy of new wingers arriving at the North-East outfit.

While it is claimed that Sunderland are looking to extend Mundle’s contract past 2028, it remains to be seen whether a player who has previously spent time at Club Brugge will show preference to another stint on the continent.

Leicester set goalkeeper asking price

Meanwhile, Leicester City are reportedly prepared to accept suitable offers for goalkeeper Mads Hermansen.

The 25-year-old has spent the last two seasons at the King Power Stadium, making a total of 72 appearances and enhancing his reputation in the process.

As such, speculation in the past has linked several big clubs with an offer for the Dane, who is valued highly by the Foxes.

However, according to Football Insider, Leicester’s hierarchy are now ready to consider offers in the region of £20m.

Already allegedly facing a nine-point deduction ahead of their return to the Championship, Leicester need to balance their books as soon as possible.

With Hermansen viewed as one of the biggest assets, bids are being invited over the coming weeks with Leicester to react by signing a cheaper alternative.

Wolves to sign another La Liga starlet?

Staying in the Midlands, Wolverhampton Wanderers are allegedly interested in signing Real Betis youngster Pablo Garcia.

Vitor Pereira has already added Celta Vigo playmaker Fer Lopez to his squad as Wolves attempt to build for the present and future.

More experienced players are expected to arrive in due course, yet it appears that Wolves may not be finished when it comes to signings prospects.

As per Estadio Deportivo, Wolves are keen on acquiring the services of Garcia, despite his asking price said to be in the region of €30m (£25.96m).

The 19-year-old has only racked up 51 minutes of senior football across five appearances for Betis, but his performances for his country have caught the eye.

Most notably, Garcia recently scored four times for Spain Under-19s in a European Championship semi-final against Germany
