Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera appears to be an Arsenal player, even though the deal hasn’t been officially announced.
The Spanish centre-back has been strongly linked with the Gunners, and an image was seemingly leaked by mistake yesterday showing him doing media duties with the club.
Charles Watts reported for CaughtOffside that Mosquera to Arsenal was done, so it surely won’t be long now before Arsenal announce his arrival.
For now, fans will have to make do with this unofficial confirmation, which very much suggests a formal announcement must be close…
Mosquera shone during his time at Valencia and looks like a smart addition to Mikel Arteta’s squad, even if he’s unlikely to be a regular starter at this stage.

Arsenal have officially confirmed the signings of Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke, Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga this summer.
Mosquera looks like he’ll be next, and that’s certainly some fine business by the Gunners ahead of what is likely to be an important season.
Arteta’s men have finished second in the Premier League for the last three seasons in a row, and fans will now be expecting a big push to finally win the title.
Mosquera could end up proving a useful part of that, as Arsenal won’t want to find themselves without backup in case the likes of William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes pick up injuries.

Watts told CaughtOffside why he’s excited about this signing, saying: “I’m really excited about this deal I have to say. First of all, it looks like a very good one money wise. Again, it looks to have been masterfully negotiated by Andrea Berta.
“Arsenal are paying less than Mosquera’s release clause, with the initial fee for the 21-year-old set to come in under £15m.
“That’s a very good price for a highly-rated young defender who was being looked at by several other good sides across Europe.”
