Lopez And Yamal Get 8 | Barcelona Players Rated In Hard-Fought Draw Vs Club Brugge
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Barcelona clashed heads with Club Brugge at the Jan Breydel Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to earn a positive result on the road in the UEFA Champions League. The Catalan club made a slow start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the sixth minute when Nicolo Tresoldi found the back of the net. Ferran Torres equalised for Barca just a couple of minutes later before Carlos Forbs restored his team’s lead in the 17th minute. Hansi Flick’s men went into the half-time break 2-1 down on the scoreline.

Lamine Yamal equalised for Barcelona in the 61st minute before Forbs scored again for Club Brugge just a couple of minutes later. The Catalan giants managed to equalise once again in the 77th minute due to an unfortunate own goal from Christos Tzolis. The match ended with Barcelona securing a hard-fought 3-3 draw away from home.

Let’s take a look at how each Barcelona player fared during the match against Club Brugge.

GK: Wojciech Szczesny – 6/10

He made a few solid saves at the back but conceded three times tonight.

RB: Jules Kounde – 6.5/10

Kounde was a positive influence at both ends of the field.

CB: Ronald Araujo – 6.5/10

He put his foot through the ball when he could and was dominant in the air as well.

CB: Eric Garcia – 6.5/10

Garcia earned possession back twice but failed to keep things solid at the back.

LB: Alejandro Balde – 6.5/10

Balde managed to create a few decent chances for his teammates to score.

CM: Marc Casado – 6/10

He came back to defend when he could, but offered very little going forward.

CM: Frenkie de Jong – 7/10

De Jong caught the eye at times on both halves.

RW: Lamine Yamal – 8/10

He was a real menace in the final third and managed to score in the 61st minute.

CAM: Fermin Lopez – 8/10

Lopez caught the eye at times in the opponent’s half and ended the game with a couple of assists to his name.

LW: Marcus Rashford – 6.5/10

He managed to shine at times, but there was no goal for him.

ST: Ferran Torres – 7/10

Torres managed to score in the eighth minute but was quiet otherwise. He was replaced in the 57th minute.

Substitutes:

ST: Robert Lewandowski – 6/10

His impact on the game was minimal.

CAM: Dani Olmo – 6.5/10

He added some creativity to Flick’s attack.
