Manchester United clashed heads with Athletic Bilbao at the San Mames Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result on the road in the first leg of their UEFA Europa League semifinal tie. The Red Devils made a good start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 30th minute when Casemiro found the back of the net. Ruben Amorim’s men were at a numerical advantage just five minutes later as Dani Vivian was sent off by the referee. Bruno Fernandes doubled his team’s lead from the penalty spot in the 37th minute. Fernandes scored again in the 45th minute as Man United went into the half-time break 3-0 up on the scoreline.
The Mancunian outfit sat on their lead well in the second half and secured an impressive 3-0 win away from home.
