Manchester United want to sign goalkeeper Karl Hein from Arsenal.
New manager Rúben Amórin has barely got his feet in the door at Old Trafford, but he is already busy making plans as to how he can improve his squad.
And with suggestions that he is less than impressed with the current incumbent as number one, André Onana, he is looking for a potential upgrade.
Hein is currently spending the season on loan in La Liga with Real Valladolid, where he has impressed.
The 22 year old has never played a senior game for the Gunners, although, due to other absentees, he was the number one during their US pre-season tour.
It was widely expected he would leave the club in the summer, but, instead, before heading out on loan, signed a one year contract extension.
That expires at the end of the season, so Arsenal would not be in a position to demand much of a fee for the player, even though they would not like to see him join a hated rival.
