Mount And Evans To Start | 3-4-2-1 Manchester United Predicted Lineup Vs Athletic Bilbao
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Manchester United will face off against Athletic Bilbao at the San Mames Stadium this Thursday night as they look to secure a positive result on the road in the first leg of their UEFA Europa League semifinal tie. The Red Devils are winless in their last two games, so they would be keen on putting in a much-improved showing in Spain this week.

Ruben Amorim will opt for the 3-4-2-1 formation once again and could make a couple of changes to his first XI for this game. Both Mason Mount and Jonny Evans might get a chance to impress from the start of this contest.

3-4-2-1 Manchester United Predicted Lineup To Face Athletic Bilbao

Defence

Andre Onana will feature in between the sticks for the Red Devils after shipping in one goal in his last outing. Amorim would go with a back three of Jonny Evans, Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro as they try to keep a good shape on the defensive end of the field.

Victor Lindelof will be named on the bench as he offers cover for the centre-back positions.

Midfield

Mason Mount and Kobbie Mainoo will anchor the midfield for Man United as they focus on making life difficult for the home side at the centre of the park.

Patrick Dorgu will try to give a good account of himself on the left flank while Noussair Mazraoui hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the right-sided wide player.

Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho will operate as the free-flowing, attacking midfielders. The dynamic duo would have to carry most of the creative burden for the Mancunian giants in the final third.

Christian Eriksen and Manuel Ugarte will have to settle for a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second half if needed.

Attack

Rasmus Hojlund will lead the line for Man United in the final third. He has to find a way to be a constant menace in the opposition half if the Red Devils are to come away with a positive result from Spain this week.

Chido Obi-Martin will make up the numbers for Man United on the bench.
