Rashford bags first LaLiga goal with volley as Barca chief ‘shocked at price’

MARCUS RASHFORD netted his first league goal for Barcelona with a sweet volley as a club chief revealed his shock at Manchester United’s low asking price.

The England forward, 27, left Old Trafford for Catalonia over the summer after being frozen out by Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim.

Rashford lashed home a stunning volley in the afternoon clash.

However, his day ended in disaster as Barcelona were thrashed 4-1 away from home.

It’s seen the champions fall two points behind leaders Real Madrid.

But Barcelona remain delighted with Rashford’s early output.

And one club chief has now expressed shock at how cheaply available he was in August.

Rashford has only signed for Barca on loan until next year.

But the club have agreed a buy option with United for around £26million.

And the Mirror claims Barcelona president Joan Laporta is “stunned” to have agreed such a “low fee” considering Rashford’s quality.

A source added: “At the top of his game, Rashford is one of the best players in Europe.

“Barca have got themselves a genuine bargain.

“Marcus should be worth more than £60m in the current market.”
