In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Real Madrid have set their sights on Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch. It has been stated that Los Blancos are eyeing a move to bring the Dutch talent to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium next year.
Gravenberch’s Impressive Form In The Premier League
Gravenberch enjoyed an excellent run of form in the Premier League after he put in a series of impressive displays for them at the centre of the park. The Dutch talent featured in 49 matches for the Merseyside club in the previous campaign, securing four assists in all competitions.
The 23-year-old offered solid protection for his teammates at the back as he made 69 tackles, 35 blocks, 60 interceptions and 59 clearances in the Premier League. He was even accurate when distributing possession from inside his half, based on his pass completion rate of 89.2% in the top tier of English football (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the Merseyside club will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for Los Blancos to sign him on a cut-price deal next year.
What Will Gravenberch Add To Real Madrid Boss Xabi Alonso’s Side?
Gravenberch is a solid tackler of the ball and can read the danger well to secure the ball back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when the opposition are on the front foot and is a good passer as well.
Standing at 1.90m, the Dutch talent is a strong presence in the air. He is a great dribbler with the ball and can engineer some inviting chances for his teammates to score. Gravenberch is playing some of the best football of his young career. Hence, Real Madrid would do well to get him on board next year.
Gravenberch would no doubt add more quality to Los Blancos boss Xabi Alonso’s first team. He has what it takes to nail down a regular starting spot at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in the coming years.
At 23, Gravenberch has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a great option for the Madrid giants to consider this January or at the end of this season.
