Real Madrid have turned down a bid from Chelsea for Brazilian teenager Endrick.
Chelsea wanted to sign the player regarded as a generational talent last summer, but lost out to the Spanish giants. However, he has since become frustrated by his lack of first-team opportunities at the Bernabeu, and agitated for a loan move in January, although that did not materialise.
The Stamford Bridge club have already had one offer of ₤65 million turned down by Real, with the Spaniards emphatic in their response that he is not for sale, and they regard him as one for the future.
Chelsea, however, are undeterred and are preparing to submit a fresh bid, although that is unlikely to succeed either.
And arguably, given his lack of experience, it would be unrealistic for Endrick to solve their striker issues, and that they need somebody capable of making a more instant impact.
