Real Madrid will almost certainly make no signings during the winter transfer window, but there could be exits. Ferland Mendy is a candidate to leave now that he has returned to full fitness, but rather, it is more likely that a striker departs, given that Endrick Felipe and Gonzalo Garcia have seen few minutes so far this season.
Gonzalo has been Kylian Mbappe’s backup since the start of the campaign, and given that Real Madrid have no plans to part ways with the La Fabrica graduate when the transfer window re-opens, it does place Endrick in a difficult position – especially considering that he will have plans to be included in Brazil’s squad for the 2026 World Cup.
Endrick has not played a single minute since returning from injury in September, and should that continue, he would be a prime candidate to leave in January. He has already attracted interest from the likes of Marseille, and according to L’Equipe (via GFFN), the 19-year-old would be open to joining the Ligue 1 giants.
Loan move would suit all parties involved
It is not clear whether Marseille, who were also keen on signing Endrick during the summer, would seek a loan or permanent deal, but if it is the latter, Real Madrid would almost certainly stonewall these efforts. A move until the end of the season would suit all parties, provided that the Brazil international sees regular playing time at the Velodrome.
For now, it remains to be seen whether Endrick does leave Real Madrid during the winter transfer window. He was clear in his desire to remain at the club during the summer, but now that he appears to be third in the striker pecking order, it would make more sense for him to be considering his options in the lead-up to January.
