Tottenham Hotspur defender Pedro Porro is on the radar of multiple European clubs during the summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old has done quite well for Tottenham, and he has established himself as one of the best fullbacks in the Premier League. It is no surprise that top clubs are keen on him. Sources have informed CaughtOffside that Barcelona, Manchester City and Bayern Munich are interested in the player.
Tottenham are uninterested in selling the player this summer, but they could change their mind if an offer of around €60-€65 million is presented. Porro has four goals and nine assists to his name this season.
Barcelona, Man City and Bayern Munich keen
Barcelona are looking to improve their defensive unit, and manager Hansi Flick sees Porro as a versatile player who can compete with Jules Koundé in the right-back position and provide support on the left side of the defence.
Manchester City are on the lookout for a quality right-back and are monitoring the situation of their former player Porro. Also, German champions Bayern Munich could consider making a move for Porro if they sell Sacha Boey in the summer transfer window.
All three clubs could be attractive destinations for the Spanish defender, and it will be interesting to see where he ends up. The player has been linked with Real Madrid as well.
Pedro Porro could be tempted
The defender could be attracted to the idea of joining big clubs like Barcelona, Manchester City or Bayern Munich. They could provide him with the platform to compete in the Champions League regularly and fight for major trophies. Tottenham are going through a period of rebuilding, and they might not be able to compete at the highest level just yet.
However, the asking price would complicate matters. Barcelona are going through financial difficulties, and they are unlikely to be able to spend €60-65 million on a full-back. Similarly, Manchester City will need to improve the other areas of their squad as well. It remains to be seen how the situation unfolds.
