Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Rodrygo from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, according to AS. The report in the British tabloid has claimed that with Liverpool getting ‘cold’, Arsenal contemplating not making a move for him, and Bayern Munich having Luis Diaz as their first-choice target for the wing, Tottenham have emerged as a credible option for the Brazil international forward.
AS has reported that Madrid want €100 million in transfer fees for Rodrygo, but Tottenham intend to pay €90 million. The Brazilian star wants to have a conversation with Madrid manager Xabi Alonso over his place in the team before making a final decision on his future.
Alonso did not use Rodrygo much at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. The 24-year-old has been used mainly as a right-winger and as a centre-forward at Madrid so far in his career, but he prefers to play as a left-winger. Tottenham had a poor Premier League campaign last season, but they will play in the UEFA Champions League in the 2025-26 after winning the Europa League.
