Vinicius Jr. Gets 8, Alaba With 5 | Real Madrid Players Rated In Draw Vs Real Sociedad
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Real Madrid welcomed Real Sociedad at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium earlier tonight as they focused on defending their 1-0 first-leg lead in the Copa del Rey. Carlo Ancelotti’s men made a slow start to the contest and conceded the opener in the 16th minute when Ander Barrenetxea scored for the visitors. However, Endrick equalised for Real Madrid at the half-hour mark as the two sides went into the half-time interval with a 1-1 scoreline.

Real Sociedad grabbed the lead once again in the 72nd minute when David Alaba scored an unfortunate own goal before Mikel Oyarzabal got his name on the scoresheet in the 80th minute. However, Real Madrid equalised soon after thanks to a goal each from Jude Bellingham and Aurelien Tchouameni. Oyarzabal scored again for the visitors in injury-time which took the game to extra-time.

Antonio Rudiger ended up scoring the decisive goal for Los Blancos in the 115th minute as Ancelotti’s players earned a hard-fought 4-4 draw (5-4 win on aggregate).

Let’s take a look at how each Real Madrid player fared during the match against Real Sociedad.

GK: Andriy Lunin – 5/10

He made one solid save during the game and won’t be happy about conceding four goals tonight.

RB: Lucas Vazquez – 5.5/10

Vazquez struggled to keep things tidy defensively and was replaced in the 79th minute.

CB: Raul Asencio – 6.5/10

The Spaniard struggled to keep the opposition attackers quiet tonight. However, he managed to last 106 minutes before being substituted.

CB: David Alaba – 5/10

Alaba scored an unfortunate own goal in the second half and was replaced late in the game.

LB: Eduardo Camavinga – 6/10

He did his fair share of defending but it was a difficult night for him at left-back.

CM: Federico Valverde – 7/10

Valverde worked his socks off at the centre of the park and did well to fill in as the right-back when needed.

CM: Aurelien Tchouameni – 7.5/10

He was a decent presence on the ball and managed to score in the 86th minute.

RW: Rodrygo – 6/10

Rodrygo caught the eye at times in the final third but failed to make a difference.

CAM: Jude Bellingham – 7.5/10

He did well to score in the 82nd minute and was always looking to create some chances for others around him.

LW: Vinicius Junior – 8/10

He caused a lot of problems for the opposition and has got an assist to his name.

ST: Endrick – 7/10

Endrick managed to score in the 30th minute but failed to build on his good start.

Substitutes:

CM: Luka Modric – 6.5/10

Modric added more creativity to Ancelotti’s midfield.

LB: Fran Garcia – 6/10

He struggled to get into the rhythm of the game.

ST: Kylian Mbappe – 6/10

Mbappe failed to get his name on the scoresheet.

CB: Antonio Rudiger – 7/10

He managed to score the only goal in extra time.

CAM: Arda Guler – N/A

RW: Brahim Diaz – N/A
