Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer news and rumours, including Dusan Vlahovic to Atletico Madrid and the latest on Brentford striker Yoane Wissa’s future.
Atletico Madrid could reportedly sign Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic during this summer’s transfer window.
The Serbia international’s future is currently the subject of much speculation, with Manchester United believed to be keen on his services, while a number of other clubs are said to be monitoring the developments.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Atletico have emerged as contenders for Vlahovic, with the 25-year-old potentially making the move to the Spanish capital as part of a swap deal.
The report claims that Nahuel Molina is on Juve’s radar, and the two clubs are willing to discuss a straight swap, with Atletico therefore potentially signing the striker without having to play a transfer fee.
Vlahovic has found it difficult to show his best form for the Old Lady since arriving from Fiorentina in January 2022.
The centre-forward has scored 58 goals and registered 14 assists in 145 appearances for Juventus in all competitions, following on from the 49 goals and eight assists that he managed in 108 matches for Fiorentina.
Brentford ‘want £40m’ for Newcastle-linked Wissa
Meanwhile, according to talkSPORT, Brentford have made it clear to interested parties that they would not be willing to sell Yoane Wissa for under £40m during this summer’s transfer window.
Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs to be linked with Wissa, while it is understood that he is a leading transfer target for Nottingham Forest this summer.
Brentford are not under any pressure to sell Wissa, having banked £71m from the Bryan Mbeumo to Manchester United deal, but it is believed that the striker is pushing to leave the Bees.
An offer of at least £40m is reportedly required for Brentford to consider letting him leave this summer.
Newcastle could step up their interest in the 28-year-old after allegedly learning that Alexander Isak wants to leave St James’ Park before the end of the summer transfer window.
Wissa was in excellent form for the Bees during the 2024-25 campaign, scoring 20 times in 39 appearances, while he has 49 goals in 149 matches for his current side in total since arriving from Lorient in 2021.
Villa ‘to offer’ Digne a new contract amid Atletico interest
Elsewhere, Aston Villa are reportedly preparing to offer Lucas Digne a new contract.
The 32-year-old’s existing deal at Villa Park is due to expire next summer, and there has been a host of speculation surrounding his future in recent months, with Atletico thought to be interested in his services.
According to the Daily Mail, Digne had been open to moving to a Champions League club this summer, as he is looking to secure a spot in the France squad for the 2026 World Cup.
However, the report claims that Villa are battling to keep hold of the Frenchman, with a new contract set to be offered by the Premier League club in the near future.
Digne made the move to Villa from Everton in January 2022, and he has represented his current side on 138 occasions in all competitions, including 45 outings during the 2024-25 campaign.
