Yamal’s ex breaks silence on infidelity rumours after split from Barcelona star

THE FORMER girlfriend of Lamine Yamal has broken her silence to rubbish claims he cheated on her with an Italian influencer.

The Barcelona star messaged a Spanish YouTuber and journalist at the weekend to tell him his three-month relationship with Argentinian singer and influencer Nicki Nicole was over.

Javier de Hoyos, a co-presenter of showbiz programme D Corazon on La 1, which is the Spanish equivalent of BBC1, said as he read out the message: “Lamine says they’re not together anymore and it hasn’t been because of any infidelity.”

He added: “Lamine tells me the trip to Italy has nothing to do with all of this, that he was no longer dating Nicki when he went and he hasn’t been with anyone else.”

Overnight a Spanish paparazzi went public with the message he claimed to have received from Nicki, who at 25 is seven years older than the footballer.

“Nicki Nicole has contacted me in the early hours of this morning and has told me she has split from Lamine Yamal.”

He went on to say: “I am going to read to you what Nicki Nicole has told me which is: ‘Hi Jordi.

“I’m not normally one to do this sort of thing but well, I just wanted to clarify that Lamine and I haven’t been together now for a few days, since I left Barcelona.”

Referencing reports Lamine secretly met Italian influencer Anna Gegnoso during a recent trip to Milan, reigniting rumours of a past affair between the two, she continued: “I’m telling you this mainly because of the infidelity rumour.

“I’m grateful to you for letting me know, but believe me, if someone were unfaithful to me, I would be the first to clarify it everywhere, just like I did in the past.”

The pretty brunette is thought to have been referring to a Mexican rapper she used to date who was filmed holding hands with a mystery brunette as he left the Super Bowl in February last year.

Nicki Nicole confirmed days later she had ended her relationship with Peso Pluma, telling fans she had found out about his “lack of respect” the same way they did via a video posted on social media.

Neither Nicki or Lamine, who scored in Barcelona’s 3-1 home win over Elche yesterday, have made any official comment on their social media about their split.

The pair went public with their relationship at the end of August as Lamine stepped out with Nicki to celebrate her 25th birthday, around a month after they were spotted kissing at a nightclub.

Catalan daily Sport says Lamine has a condition called Pubalgia, which causes muscles to converge in the pubic area and prompts discomfort.

Barcelona chiefs are said to fear the condition could be chronic with no obvious cure.
